As ancient as they are beautiful, our churches are the present custodians of yew trees planted and cared for over many centuries.

Upcoming events

Sacred Somerset: Tour of churches in West Somerset and Exmoor, organised in partnership with the Diocese of Bath and Wells. Following a successful tour in 2017, we are doing it all again!

Welcome once again. One hundred churches have come together to celebrate their rich diversity. We have churches of all sizes and denominations, some are simple churches serving small hamlets, others are buildings of larger stature, serving our market towns. But all share one thing in common; a warm welcome to everyone over the festival weekends.

Trails

If feeling the earth beneath your boots or bike is your thing, you are in for a treat! Our churches, chapels and meeting houses are blessed. They are set within some of the finest natural landscapes in the country, and to visit is to discover the past, present and future of our place within them.

ExploreChurches is a project by the National Churches Trust for people who love church buildings
