Availability

The tour is available to be booked on any day, Tuesday to Saturday, subject to availability.

A half day walking tour exploring Fairhaven Garden, the village of Ranworth and surrounding countryside, including St Helen's church, known as 'the Cathedral of the Broads' and ending with tea/coffee and cake back at Fairhaven.

This four mile circular guided walking tour takes you through Fairhaven Garden, a beautiful natural Broadland Garden. Enjoy fabulous candelabra primulas and azaleas in spring, wild flowers, butterflies and dragonflies in summer and wonderful autumn colours and see the King Oak, a sapling at the time of the Battle of Hastings.

The tour features a peaceful bridleway connecting Fairhaven with Ranworth and the popular Malthouse Broad.

St Helen's church dates from the 14th century. The church has a magnificent 15th century rood screen, one of the finest in the country and the superb 15th century Ranworth Antiphoner, a richly illustrated liturgical book.

The church tower is normally open and a climb to the top offers fabulous views of the Broads landscape.
