St Andrew

Delightful small rural Lincolnshire church set amongst a pretty churchyard that contains the base and part shaft of a 15th century preaching cross.

Hanes yr eglwys hon

St Andrew's was built in 1856 by GE Street and is a Grade II listed building. Built in the Early English style it cost £950 and comprises a slate tiled roof atop a simple limestone structure. A lovely place to take time out from the stresses of life.

A tabled monument to Mary Alice Walls, who died in 1877, is rather striking. It features coloured mosaic marble with gilded diaper work and shows a young woman with flowing red hair. But who was she?

Eglwys Crist

Adeiladwyd yr eglwys gyntaf ar y safle hwn yn 1841, ond fe’i difrodwyd yn ddifrifol gan dân. Yn ôl yr hanes, ym mis Mai 1891, cynhaliodd y Ficer ‘briodas yn yr adfeilion’.
