St Leonard

The parish church of St Leonard is in an isolated and striking position on the slope of a hill overlooking the Arrow Valley.

About this church

As well as being blessed with a lovely and historic building, dating back to the 12th century, it is set in beautiful grounds just outside Redditch in north east Worcestershire.

Its claim to fame is the link with the Sheldon family, Lords of Beoley from the late 15th century to the late 18th century, and two tombs of national importance are to be found in the Sheldon Chapel.
